Endurance Legends eligibility allows motorcycles from the Classic Racing Motorcycle Club (CRMC) and European Classic Series (ECS) and others which meet the eligibility guidleline set out below
Endurance Legends retains the right to interpret any eligibility guidelines as they see fit
ENDURANCE LEGENDS ELIGIBILITY GUIDELINES
GENERAL ELIGIBILITY
The latest cut off date is 31 December 1986
Any bike holding current Classic Racing Motorcycle Club (CRMC) eligibility and within the capacity classes below is eligible for the Endurance Legends 4 hour classic endurance race
Any bike holding current European Classic Series (ECS) eligibility and within the capacity classes below is eligible for the Endurance Legends 4 hour classic endurance race
‘Fast Track’ eligibility will be offered to entrants but contact must be made before the meeting
‘One Event’ eligibility may be granted if the organisers feel the machine in question would enhance the grid even if it does not meet the usual eligibility criteria
Only machines which have been issued with an Endurance Legends / CRMC / ECS Eligibility Certificate can race in the Endurance Legends 4 hour endurance event
SPECIFIC ELIGIBILITY
ENDURANCE LEGENDS CLASSES:
Endurance Legends F1 (751cc – 1300cc) shall be run as two classes:
F1 Classic: 2 valves per cylinder
* The minimum tyre diameter is 17” and maximum tyre width is 180mm
F1 Superbike: 4 valves per cylinder, air-cooled only, no Suzuki EFE bikes or cylinder heads
* The minimum tyre diameter is 18” and maximum tyre width is 160mm
Endurance Legends Formula 2 (247cc - 750cc)
Air-cooled, or Liquid (oil or water) cooled, 2 stroke or 4 stroke engines
* Wheels may be 16, 17 or 18 inch diameter but restricted to a maximum rim width of 3.5” for the front and 5.5” for the rear
The appearance of all machines must represent the period it raced in. Thus bodywork must have period appearance, eg: fairings and seat units based on MotoGP units are not allowed
Electronic dashes, throttle position sensors, slipper clutches, quickshifters, USD forks, radial or 6 piston calipers and the like are not allowed
Although not strictly an eligibility issue, slick tyres, hand cut tyres and rain tyres are not allowed. Treaded tyres as supplied by the manufacturers only
No modern, non period engines can be used
No flat slide carburettors can be used, unless they were original fitment when new
